Toby Hare to Play in North South All Star Game
Toby Hare son of Mr and Mrs C J Hare of De Leon has been selected to participate in the North South All Star Football Game to be played in Dallas after the July 24 28 THSCA coaching school. Hare a tri captain in 1976 lettered three years and played guard and tackle. He earned all district all area all state and second team Super All State honors and led his team in fumble recoveries with four in 1976. He also excelled in basketball and track with a 164 6 discus throw.

Home Health Care Services Expands to Brownwood Sub-unit
Girling and Associates Home Health Care gains a Brownwood sub-unit after a January 6, 1977 Certificate of Need from the Texas Health Commission. Kitten Track Team Heads to Area Meet Saturday
Three Kitten track members compete in the area meet at Stephenville on April 23. Terri Van Zandt swept the district in triple and long jumps and was runner up in high jump. Kelly Mitchell won the 10-A 80 yard hurdles and Lisa Walker took the mile. Prelims start at 10:00 a.m. finals at 2:30 p.m.

County Grants Education Funds To Comanche County
Congressman Omar Burle son announces a $128 963.71 Office of Education grant for Comanche County for fiscal year 1978 under Title I. Funds aid low income areas and neglected delinquent institutions to raise educational attainment. Availability begins July 1 1977 with state distribution to districts and at least 85 percent baseline.

City Runoff Election Slated This Saturday
The city council runoff is set for Saturday April 23 with polls from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Incumbent Wes Harper and challenger Mitchell Tate appear on the ballot.
De Leon Hosts Adult Track Meet Sponsored by Local Groups
Four organizations Lions Club Chamber of Commerce Women's Division and Peach and Melon Festival Committee sponsor an adult track meet on May 17 at 6 00 p.m. at De Leon Bearcat field to raise funds for a year round festival building. Admission 50 cents children 19 and over for events include bicycle races obstacle course relays tug of war low hurdles walking discus and shot put. The De Leon Decathlon Person will receive a trophy and publicity. Highlights include Wes Harper vs Donnie Nowlin obstacle course. More entries to be announced.

Four School Records Set At District Track Meet
The Kitten high school and junior high teams competed at the District 10-A meet at Tarleton State University Stephenville. Both teams placed third. Terri Van Zandt and Kelly Mitchell set new school records in triple jump and 80 yard hurdles respectively. The meet determined that the top two finishers in each event advance to the regional meet on April 23 at Tarleton.
