Elections Bring Largest Turnout in City and School Races
Congratulations to all winners in Saturdays elections and thanks to the losers for energizing turnout. New mayor Scotty Campbell notes street paving will resume in two months as Texas Electric installs downtown lamp poles and De Leon Cable TV brings service to more residents. Local firemen conducted safety inspections and fire hazard checks at the Free Press office praising their service to the community.
