Voters named incumbent Shirley Sides and newcomers Jackie Pounds and Franklin Loudermilk to the De Leon school board for three three year terms. Fiery Crash Kills Comanche Woman
Phyllis Wells, 22, of Comanche died after a pickup truck crash near PAR Village Friday. Her husband Dempsy was thrown clear and is in stable condition at De Leon Hospital. Firefighters battled the blaze as the vehicle burned. Services for Mrs. Wells were held in Comanche. She also left her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
