Drinking in public place under temperance act in a hotel
Two charges under the Saskatchewan Temperance Act were laid before Justice McDonald on Saturday March 30. Chas Cullens pleaded guilty while James LeMay maintained innocence. Cullens received 30 days of imprisonment with a fine of $5 and costs, LeMay did not plead guilty and was found guilty, with fines paid in both cases.

Willner Council Nears Adoption of Road Improvement Plan
Willner Council met Saturday with councillors Hagen and Constable reporting on hail and rural affairs. A plan for a secretarial district and a highway proposal for the Cummins road west of town was approved pending blueprints. Death of George Henry Bessey on his farm in March
George Henry Bessey aged 2 years five months died at his farm home on the southwest quarter in March after a yearlong illness from pernicious anemia. He visited Mayo Brothers in Rochester for treatment, returning home severely weakened. He leaves his wife Florence E and four children, plus five brothers and one sister as mourners. The funeral was held Sunday with Rev. A J Henderson officiating and interment at Detidson.
