Harmony restores unity among raisin growers in California
Fresno May 14 Harmony again unites the Raisin Growers association planning a three year program to regulate the California raisin harvest. A commercial packers company will seed raisins at ten dollars per ton above cost and handle the crop, purchasing all raisins by January 15 each year for 1900 1901 and 1902. The packing firm will hold a one hundred thousand dollar stock with five percent paid in. Pricing will be controlled by the growers and the packers will not deal outside association control. Ninety percent of the state acreage must be pledged by June 15. At present sixty two percent is signed.
