The remains of Ernst Schlapp of Burlington, cousin of Emil Lange, were incinerated at the Davenport crematorium yesterday. Schlapp, once a popular Burlington youth with many relatives and friends, died by drowning in a slough near Crystal Lake. Carl H. Schiapp of Burlington accompanied the funeral party to the city.
Washington provided details on a new railway mail route to Davenport linking Clinton and intermediate points with two Clinton arrivals daily and one Davenport departure.
