Farmer Niels Johansen Dies By His Own Hand Near Rolfe
Niels Johansen a wealthy well respected farmer four miles northwest of Rolfe hanged himself Sunday afternoon in the barn hen house. He had no known financial troubles and lived with tenants. The act appears premeditated with a rope substituted from a barn halter. He had been ill for about a year yet seemed in good health. The Rasmussen family who rented his farm were away when the body was found.
