Born January 15, 1832 in Erie County New York he came to Davenport in 1853 and served on the police force under Mayors Mitchell and Sargent. He belonged to Damon lodge No 20 K of P Fire King Hose and Veteran Volunteer Firemen and bricklayer unions. He leaves an adopted daughter Ida Munro and four siblings. Funeral plans to be announced. Also Bartholemew Marti a Long Grove resident since 1852 born February 20 1820 in Virdenberg Switzerland died yesterday at his son Chris Marti’s home. Funeral Monday December 2 1900 at 1 p.m. Long Grove Christian church. Phillip Sidell aged 31 died at Scott County infirmary funeral today from Boies undertaking parlors with burial at Pine Hill. Clemann and Salzmann advertise eighty five brass beds at Rock Island, from 2.59 up.
