Two men dredging for clam shells near Cordova unearthed a complete skeleton of a infant presumed six to eight weeks old. Sunday night Elsie M Owens died in Chicago from typhoid fever and was buried in Oakdale after services at Boies parlors with Rev Weddell officiating. The Lorenz family matriarch died in Davenport, aged 84, with two sons and two daughters surviving. Another infant, 18 months, died of cholera infantum on Hickory Grace Road. funeral and interment followed at West Davenport Cemetery.

Mrs Bridget Schadt died at 10 30 Sunday morning at 615 Farnam Street from injuries suffered when she fell on a defective sidewalk near her home in April. She was 67, an Ireland native who came to Davenport forty years ago. Survived by four daughters Mrs Thomas Woodside of New Orleans Mrs Henry Ramos of Chicago and Theresa and Maggie Schadt of Davenport. Funeral services at Sacred Heart cathedral at 9 this morning with interment in St Marguerite's cemetery.
