Weekend Roadside Hazards Sketch In Local Briefs
Sunday two tar ran into a rig on the weet road from Dauphin causing a mixup with an oncoming car. Monday two cars collided at ird Ave M and ied St with minor damage and no injuries. A citizen’s car backed into a garage and broke a clutch after a stop. A coyote was struck by Mert Spillett’s car near Winnipeg. Tuesday a Chevy and a Sedan disputed right of way on Burrows Avenue ending with a bent fender and no major damage.

Progressive Convention Set for Sept 29 in Dauphin
A joint Dauphin political committee and UF.M. Board meeting called for a Progressive Convention on Tuesday Sept 29 to nominate standard bearers. Wm J Ward remains the only named candidate. The event starts 3 PM at the convention hall. That evening a public meeting at 8 PM in the G W V A ball will feature MP Robert Forke and the new Progressive nominee.

Nichols remanded on theft charge in Ochre River case
John L. Nichols of Ochre River, charged by Wm. J. Bullock with taking hay from Bullock’s premises, was remanded for trial on bail after magistrate Hawkins heard the evidence on Tuesday September 22.
