Regulate Wheat Exports Says J. T. Hull
J. T. Hull, secretary of the Manitoba cooperative Conference, urged regulation of wheat exports through international agreement and controlled inflation in a Town Hall address. He said surplus supplies from Canada, Australia, the U.S.A., and Argentina keep world prices low, blamed Canada’s sound money policy for farm hardships, noted 55 percent price declines since 1926, and argued tariff walls hinder exports.
