A crowd of 1500 plus enjoyed Grandview's 25th anniversary with a sports program headlined by a baseball tournament. Dauphin Elks edged Grandview 5 1 in a close opener, Gilbert Plains beat Valley River, and Dauphin Maroons narrowly fell to Gilbert Plains 4 3. Final saw Gilbert Plains defeat the Elks after a late rally as Leifer for the Elks suffered a finger injury.

Winnipegosis appeal on land assessment dismissed
Friday last Judge Bonnycastle heard an appeal by Canadian Northern Town Properties Ltd challenging a 15 acre lot in Winnipegosis assessed at 100 dollars an acre. The village solicitor Hiram G. Reid argued the assessment fairly valued the property and the appellants failed to prove otherwise. The court of revision upheld the assessment and the appeal was dismissed.

Dance At McDonald Barn Attracts 200 Attendees
