Cliff Robertson's Dauphin rink earns playdown berth
Cliff Robertson's foursome at Dauphin Collegiate clinched a spot in the provincial championship after an eight straight win run at the Free Press high school bonspiel in Winnipeg. Robertson, with teammates Jim Veal Dan Williams and Ralph Wilson, lost the final 9 5 to Jack Robson rink of Kenora Ontario. Dauphin council members named Dauphin's Men of the Year for record public service totaling 79 years through 1955.
