Christmas Hampers Aid Needy Families On Yuletide
The Citizen's Welfare Association distributed 57 hampers on Christmas Eve containing toys and food to assist needy families. Chairman S Solomon said this amount represents about half of the total Christmas aid, with the remaining hampers to reach Ukrainian families two weeks after December 25.

Missing Car Found On Town Outskirts
A Chrysler Airflow stolen from 3rd Avenue N.E. near Eaton's was found on the town outskirts by P. McLean early Christmas morning. The doors were unlocked with the key in the ignition. Dr. W. J. Harrington's medical gear and Christmas gifts were in the car, which sustained no damage or losses.

Princess Confectionery Looted Friday Morning
Thieves entered the Princess Confectionery by the rear door between 3 and 7 Friday morning December 23. About $15 in cash and money orders were taken. whether stock was taken is not known. A back window was broken and police are investigating.

Cars Swirl Around Each Other In Freak Accident
Two cars collided at right angles near the Anglican church on Fourth Avenue Southwest. Clayton Winters driving east and Steve Syrnyk of Keld driving south hit almost head on, their front ends swirled around each other, the vehicles locked together and rested against a telephone pole. Wire cutters and cranes were needed to separate them. No one was hurt.

Six hundred children attended the annual free performance at the Dauphin Theatre on Wednesday, filling the venue with families and local residents.

Sleigh Van and Truck Collision on Main Street
On Christmas Eve a truck driven by Lorne Mitchell and a sleigh van owned by T. McNaughton collided at Main and First Avenue North around 7 p.m. The sleigh tongue broke and the sleigh pulled from under the van, damaging the truck’s front section. A 30 below freeze and wintry conditions followed through Tuesday morning. Roads remained clear and rail service mostly on time except for a two hour Le Pas delay.
