Solomon won Ward Three on Tuesday by acclamation to fill the vacancy created by the death of W. A. McIntosh who held the post since November 19. Sesman's nomination was proposed by A D Smith and seconded by Bruce Goodhand.
Warehouse Burned at Gilbert Plains Loss Totals 12000
On Saturday night the imple ment warehouse of Nelin and Robertson Gilbert Plains was totally destroyed by fire. The loss is estimated at 12000 with part covered by insurance. Several farm implements, a vehicle and 20000 pounds of binder twine were lost. Residents fought the blaze to prevent spread to nearby Baker's warehouses. Cause of the outbreak is unknown.

Obituary: Nancy C. Sanderson Dies at Dauphin Home
Nancy C. Sanderson wife of B E A Sanderson died at her Oak Street home on Monday December 16 after a long illness. A Dauphin resident for about 22 years she was born May 26 1569 in Peterborough Ontario and later married Frank Jo Clark before marrying Mr Sanderson. She leaves two sons Joseph W Robert M John A and Nathan all of Dauphin nine grandchildren and several siblings. The funeral will be at Poors Anglican Church Saturday at 2 30 with burial at Millerenie Cemetery.
