Fire Damages Implement Business in Dauphin

Dauphin's volunteer fire department answered two weekend calls. A chimney fire on Sunday at 18 sixth avenue NW was quickly put out with no damage. Monday at 12 30 a.m. a blaze at Herb Lavine's implement business at 32 second avenue SW caused four to five thousand dollars in damage before two hours of work by the firemen. The stoker backing into the coal bin started the fire, cold weather hampered crews, only one machine was damaged, and insurance covers total damage.
