Collision at Gladys Street intersection injures no one
On Saturday at noon Wilfrid Pocklington and J E Green of Ashville collided at Gladys Street and 4th Ave SW. Pocklington northbound nearly cleared the crossing when Greens westbound car struck the rear, overturning it. It damaged wheels fenders a door and top. Both occupants were uninjured.

Pioneer William E. George Dies at 66 on Lake Road Farm
William Edward George 66 a Manitoba pioneer of forty five years died Tuesday November 27 at the home farm on the old Lake Road. Born Peterborough Ontario he came west in 1883 settling first near Virden for 36 years. He moved to Dauphin Plains then Lis towel district before moving last month to Dauphin area. Survived by widow six children and four stepchildren with several relatives in Dauphin Winnipeg Riding Mountain and Edmonton. Funeral at Grace United Church Saturday with Riverside interment.

Death of Mrs Jas Reid of Winnipeg former Dauphin resident
Word arrived Sunday of the death of Mrs. Jas Reid, of Winnipeg, formerly of Dauphin. Mr and Mrs Reid long lived here. He was an early town councillor and foreman of the railway wrecking crew. He later worked in implements flour and feed and automobile selling before moving to Winnipeg. Rev David Flemming left Monday for Winnipeg to conduct the funeral. Mayor J W Skinner attended the funeral.

Hospital Board appoints Miss Isabel McKinnon as superintendent
At a Hospital Board meeting on Monday morning Miss Isabel McKinnon was named superintendent to replace Miss Cotter on leave. The new appointment begins December 10. McKinnon, from the Dauphin district, trained at Winnipeg General Hospital before the war and served three years overseas with the Canadian army. She later worked at several hospitals and public health posts in North America, including Los Angeles Children’s Hospital during the infantile paralysis epidemic, and Red Cross public health duties in Victoria B C and Seattle.

Spruce Creek Man Injured In Creek Bank Accident
Alf Henderson of Spruce Creek suffered a serious injury when his car rolled downhill after he left it in gear while on a call near his home. The vehicle pushed him to the creek bed, breaking his right leg in two places. He was hospitalized and is recovering.

Community leaders plan to reorganize the Dauphin board of trade
A town hall meeting of businessmen and citizens agreed to form a Dauphin board of trade. Mr J N McFadden chaired and a nine member committee was named to recruit members. The first general meeting set for December 17 will elect officers and appoint committees for 1929. Temporary officers were appointed to run until January.

PAYS $25 TO LEARN ABOUT SPEED LAWS
Fred May, 19, of Dauphin, pleaded guilty to driving to the common danger on 4th Ave S.W. on November 26 after nearly striking a child. Magistrate Hawkins ordered a $25 fine and instructed that he would be told about speed limits in the future. T. T. Malcolm was a Winnipeg visitor at the weekend.
