John Holloway Dies at Sugar Creek Camp near Darlington
John Holloway died Saturday morning at his camp on Sugar Creek near Darlington from a complication of diseases. He had lived here most of the last three months after building a camp near Garfield. He is survived by his wife one brother Joe Holloway of Lafayette and one sister in Texas. Funeral was held Sunday from his home and burial in Oak Hill cemetery Crawfordsville with Brainard Butler Funeral Directors in charge.

Darlington High Opens With 290-219 Enrollment
H S notes Darlington High School opened Monday with 290 in grades 9 12 and 219 in grades 7 8. Several room changes were made with Mr Miller moving the 7th and 8th grades upstairs to a former laboratory and the lab moved to the basement. Sophomore Chas Morris fainted in Latin class and cut his forehead after a fall, possibly from heat while riding his bicycle to town to avoid tardiness.
