Darlington Pioneer Cyrus Cunningham Dies After Illness

After a little more than three days of sickness Cyrus Cunningham, a long respected Darlington resident born June 11 1837 in Ohio, died at home. Survived by wife Elma Cox Cunningham and five children including Reuben, George Welty in Crawfordsville, Spurgeon in New York City, Paul in Peru, and Mrs James A Peterson of Darlington. funeral at Presbyterian church with Rev. A S Buchanan and Rev. W J Frost officiating.

Death of Mrs Ella Woody at Crawfordsville sanatorium

Mrs Ella Woody wife of Robert Woody died at the Ben Hur sanitarium in Crawfordsville at one o'clock Saturday morning after an illness dating from last fall. She was taken to the sanitarium in December and underwent an operation the day before Christmas. Funeral services were held at the Friends church on Monday morning conducted by M Regan. Pallbearers were her nephews Will I McDaniel Chas Long John and Wallace Johnson Chas Ward and Paddock. Out of town attendees included Mrs Murry Johnson A J Middleton Mrs Will Conwell Mrs S B Johnson and others.

Widow of Jesse Hutchens Dies at Thorntown at 69

Mrs Jesse Hutchens died at her Thorntown home last Sunday at age 69. Born in Montgomery county she spent most of life in the Thorntown area. No children survived but the couple adopted four children in infancy. two nieces and two nephews survive as heirs.

Custer Couple Celebrate Ninth Wedding Anniversary

Mr and Mrs Frank Custer celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary with a three course dinner at their north town home. Guests included Mr and Mrs Bert Brainard Mr and Mrs Lee Hampton Mr and Mrs Ernest Weesner and Mr and Mrs Elmer mbers. A pink and white centerpiece featured carnations narcissi and ferns with candles. Auto Strikes Horse at Bowers Station

Monday evening about 8:30 in Bowers Station Doyle Gregg accidentally collided with Marshall Hampton's horse tied at a hitching post. The accident occurred when the headlights failed.
