A mass meeting of Darlington citizens at the Library auditorium discussed the Montgomery County Civic League. Rev T L Stovall presided in Claypool's absence as Dr M H Appleby spoke on the league. Waynetown schools have adopted a school lunch program backed by the Parent Teachers association. County nurse Miss Meta Jardolph spoke about hot lunches carried to schools. Lunches cost two soups tomato and vegetable, cocoa and crackers. teachers' association supervised. It is hoped the program will grow as it provides hot food for pupils.
