Whitehurst Seeks Year Round Daylight Saving Time
Representative William Whitehurst of Virginia co sponsors a bill to establish daylight saving time from the last Sunday in February to the first Sunday in November and extend DST to eight months with four months standard time. The plan aligns with a Transportation Department energy study and aims to conserve energy while considering winter safety and children. Some groups favor delaying the change until after Halloween to avoid extra night time for kids.
