AP A federal jury found former Senator Gurney innocent of lying to a 1904 grand jury about a scheme in which subordinates channeled more than 400 dollars to Gurney through a political slush fund. Williams, a fundraiser, testified he advised Gurney, but the jury sided with the ex-senator after deliberating four hours and eighteen minutes.
