The AP poll of 1,027 viewers after the final Ford Carter debate found 35.5 percent said Ford won, 33.1 percent chose Carter, and 31.4 percent were unsure or called it a draw. Other polls by Time and public polls showed varying margins, with shifts in party and age groups among viewers.
