Parks May Receive More Funds In Virginia
Virginia Outdoor Recreation Commission heard that recent Congress approvals could boost federal money for state regional and park development but require state and local matching funds. With no state match, current federal funds cannot be used for state parks, delaying several new parks and limiting regional and local projects. The commission approved 573,500 in federal funds for Radford Manassas Park and Stafford County, to be matched locally.
