Public hearing on permit for Coming Glass Works Inc
The State Air Pollution Control Board will hold a public hearing to consider Coming Glass Works Inc. for a permit to install a new glass melting tank. The hearing is on Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. in the City Council Chambers Municipal Building. The application will be available for inspection on business days at the Air Quality Control Regional Office Lynchburg. Written comments may be submitted before the hearing. Also a Langston Junior High meeting for parents is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium to discuss student progress and volunteer programs, with teachers available for parent conferences.

Funeral for Fred H Hundley set for Tuesday in Danville
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at North Main Baptist Church with Rev. Holliday officiating. Interment follows at Highland Burial Park. Hundley, 48, of 502 Lansbury Drive, died Monday at The Memorial Hospital after five weeks as a patient. He was a longtime Danville resident, worked 23 years in cable maintenance for C P Telephone Co, Korean War veteran, and member of North Main Baptist Church and Telephone Pioneers. He married June King in 1954. survivors include wife, three daughters Judy, Beth, and Tamara, son Jonathan, two sisters Doris and Louise, two brothers Ernest and Ralph.
