Emporia man perishes in early morning house fire
In Emporia Virginia a man identified as Lewis Whitfield 52 of Greensville County was found dead after a single story home burned near the city. Fire officials said the cause remained undetermined with no sign of foul play and the victim was alone in the house when the blaze started around 5 am.
