The regular meeting of the Auxiliary to Ballard Pruitt Post No. 647 VFW met at the Martinsville Road post home. Presiding Mrs. Garnett Tate reported on rehabilitation and community service projects and discussed plans including the Voice of Democracy program and an annual high school essay contest. Donations were approved for various state and national organizations and a food basket was set for a needy veteran family.
