Gemini 12 Launch Set for November 9 in Final Series Flight

CAPE KENNEDY AP The NASA announced Gemini 12 is scheduled to launch on November 9, ending the two-man Gemini program. Command pilot James Lovell and copilot Edwin Aldrin plan up to three spacewalks and several experiments including a rendezvous with the Agena target satellite. The flight will also test space tethering and formation flying as preparation for Apollo missions to the Moon.

Viet Nam War Briefs Highlight Westmoreland Visit Plans

McNamara met with General Westmoreland to review the border situation and allied needs as he planned a tour of U.S. installations. He aimed to visit Premier Ky and Chief of State Thieu in Saigon before returning to Washington.
