Debusschere to be ABA Commissioner in major announcement
New York Nets executive Dave DeBusschere is expected to be named the ABA's seventh commissioner at a Louisville news conference. The 12 year NBA veteran would succeed Todd Munchak, who indicated he would not return next season. DeBusschere, praised for league identity and potential NBC contract prospects, has strong backing from owners Roy Boe and John Y. Brown.
