Farm Group Starts March To Protest Labor Situation In Grape Fields
A Delano march of about 150 farm workers began a 300 mile, 25 day trek toward Sacramento to protest wage and working condition disputes in the grape industry. Cesar Chavez leads the group backing AWOC and NFWA. After a police permit snag, the procession pressed on toward Ducor stopping nights along the way.
