Bethel Baptist Church To Dedicate New Building Today

Bethel Baptist Church near Danville dedicates its new $100,000 structure five miles from the original site on US 360. The project follows a 1968 fund drive begun during the tenure of Rev Doe, whose predecessors include Rev Ferguson who served from 1896 for 34 years. The church traces to 1865, founded by emancipated slaves, with the old log cabin and Beaver’s farm site remaining as part of its history.
