Warren Denies Headed Committee To Dismantle MNC
RALEIGH AP Farmers State Sen. Lindsay Warren Jr. told committees he did not head the Warren Committee to destroy the University of North Carolina system. He urged enacting majority recommendations to place 16 public universities under a new board of regents with broad powers, while preserving individual trustees. He warned against political timing and favored a constitutional shield for the system.
