North Carolina House Approves Record Budget
The North Carolina House passed a record 3.58 billion dollar budget with teacher pay raises of ten percent yearly and state worker boosts, while rejecting two Republican amendments. Other measures included capital improvements and a plan to create a tobacco museum, plus an effort to raise legislative pay and tighten habitual traffic violator penalties.
