Wild marijuana weed spreads across Midwest farms
Oklahoma officials say a wild marijuana plant, or wild hemp, covers thousands of acres from Oklahoma to New Jersey with the highest concentrations in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. A one mile long field was found near Anadarko, Oklahoma, prompting police and the state narcotics director to warn farmers to report sightings promptly.
