Desert cache recovers 1.673 million in stolen funds

FBI says more than 1.6 million from the Indianapolis widow's home robbery was found buried in the desert 20 miles north of Phoenix. The money, in two boxes totaling 1,673,460, was recovered Thursday on information from Indianapolis authorities. Suspects include Howard Willard and Marjorie Pollitt, both facing murder and transport charges, with four others charged in the case. Authorities estimate about 6 million was stolen.
