Explosion Rips Paramount Hotel. Several Dead

Fire officials say a strong blast caused by an explosion collapsed the Paramount Hotel’s first floor and basement. Six victims were in the bar cellar and three in upper rooms. Nearby Plymouth Hotel also damaged. Building commissioner York warned extensive repairs needed. no damage estimate yet.
