Industrialist Zabala Freed By Basque Kidnappers

Industrialist Lorenzo Zabala Suiaga was released unharmed by Basque separatists ETA in Bilbao after a 24 hour deadline to kill. He was picked up by a truck driver while hitchhiking near his factory, bound but not beaten, and driven to a police station in Durango. The release followed a threat to kill unless 183 dismissed workers were rehired. Zabala, 44, heads a metals firm and is a director at Prezi-Control. He said the captors tried to disorient him by driving in circles before freeing him. Spanish police and CFR agencies searched the area, with reports of conflicting releases near Paris and in Orhandiano to Digiola corroborated by Cifra.

Intelsat 4 second payload ready for service

After checkout, it will enter commercial service with circuits reserved for the Quinter Olympics and the President's visit to Red China in February. The consortium paid NASA 16 million dollars to launch the 13.5 million satellite last Saturday. If it fails, two other satellites could televise the events, including an Intelsat 3 over the Pacific, though with circuit limits.
