Rockwell suit dismissed over standing and seized property
A $100000 suit filed by George Lincoln Rockwell, head of the American Nazi Party, against the Internal Revenue Service was dismissed in federal court. Judge Oren R. Lewis ruled Rockwell had no standing to seek damages and allowed the IRS to keep seized items, including a stationery and addressing machine, until a public auction date is set. Rockwell said the seizure wiped out his business and hinted at bids to recover the property, while stressing the movement remains spiritual despite the loss of its physical plant.
