House Panel Ends Hearings on Klan Record Not Pretty One
The House Committee on Un-American Activities finished 35 days of hearings charging the Ku Klux Klan with a record of floggings beatings and killings tied to racial hatred. Rep Joe Pool warned the book is open on Klan activities and urged new legislation to curb such groups.
