Duke Medical Center to launch huge health care study
In Durham North Carolina a $1.13 million three year grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funds a Duke University Medical Center program to reform primary care. The study will track clinic flow with a patient card system and central computer to assess time costs and outcomes while training students in community health and management. A second phase surveys underserved communities to expose barriers to care and guide future services with community boards and biweekly household surveys.
