Explosion Strikes Reasor Chemical Plant Castle Hayne
Thirty workers escaped serious harm after a major explosion and fire at the Rea sor Chemical Corp plant near Wilmington North Carolina on Route 132. A leaking tank in the extractor room ignited by nathe gas caused the blast. Fire crews battled flames for about an hour as burning tar and resin spread through the 45 by 200 foot facility. No injuries were reported despite the dramatic incident.
