Reno Nevada AP report on singer Bobbie Gentry 27 wedding to Bill Harrah 58 in a brief private church ceremony. The couple planned a quiet career and honeymoon with Harrah owning casinos in Reno and Lake Tahoe. They flew to Idaho for a three day wilderness honeymoon at Harrah's Middle Fork Lodge on the Salmon River.
Washington AP The administration proposes giving Congress a veto over postal rate increases and authorizing the postal service to issue bonds and negotiate pay with workers while retaining civil service status. A phased pay raise could reach 11 percent in six months. Committee action postponed to next year as McGee says Senate aims to draft a reform bill without creating a government owned nonprofit corporation.
