Two Men Rob Greensboro Bank in Broad Daylight Heist
Bank manager Claude Fleming reports two dark skinned men carried out a bold robbery at a Greensboro Bank around 9:18 am. One man, in a sport coat, forced a teller to fill a brown bag with cash while the other kept a pistol trained on Fleming and the staff. A woman customer, Miss Stroud, was later released from a car trunk near Ellerbe after being driven off with the robbers. The pair vanished into nearby woods after the heist, taking $307 from a Waccamaw Bank & Trust location in Latta, South Carolina, and are described as speaking with southern accents and appearing Latin in background.
