Armstrong to lead multiple science departments at university

University president Dr. Walter Langsam announced Neal Armstrong will assume an October posting, teaching aerospace engineering while also assigned to geology astronomy physics chemistry psychology biology and medicine. He will work closely with Dr. Paul Hergett of the University of Cincinnati Observatory. Hergett previously consulted on the early Vanguard space project. Armstrong, a native of Wapakoneta Ohio, holds degrees from Purdue USC and honorary degrees from Miami University of Ohio and Wittenberg University. Armstrong’s moon claim was quoted as a historic statement, and the university notes his readiness to inspire higher education.
