British teens mostly chaste amid double standard says Kinsey survey
A three year survey of 1,873 British youths aged 15 to 19 finds most have not had premarital sex, with 21 percent of boys and 11 percent of girls by 19 having sexual experience. Initiation usually occurs at home with a long-known partner, and money spending correlates with activity. Many see parental morality intact, yet lack sex education at home and school, while social class and family structure show little influence.
