Mother Held In Death Of Her Son
In Columbus a 47 year old schoolteacher Mary P Lombardi was charged with murder after her 18 year old son Joseph was shot in a hospital emergency room while awaiting treatment for an apparent overdose. Police said the mother and her husband visited after the fire squad took their son from the home. The shooting occurred seconds after she asked staff to leave so she could be alone with him. No witnesses saw the actual shot.
