Primary Contests Set For Three House Districts In Virginia
In Richmond AP notes the July 12 Democratic primary firming with Senate races and three House districts assured. Curling, a Chesapeake attorney, and Woods, a Falls Church travel agent, filed against Abbitt in the 4th and Du Val in the 10th respectively. Other contests include Robertson vs Spong, Byrd vs Boothe, Downing, Hardy, Satterfield, and Tuck, with Poff and Match Jr. also holding seats. Barrett withdraws from the 4th District race in Stafford County, leaving Smith and Rawlings Jr. as the Democratic contenders for the 5th District nomination.
