Lutherans To Meet In Roanoke Relief funds target chapel in grand plan

The 159th annual Virginia Synod LCA convention in Roanoke runs Tuesday to Thursday with speakers Dr Alfred L Beck Dr Robert B Lee and Leo W Lackey. The event features a groundbreaking service for a Roanoke College chapel and progress reports on the 6.5 million ACT appeal aimed at a 500000 donation toward chapel construction as part of a 2.9 million ministry center project. Dr Luther J Mauney Roanoke synod president will preach at the Tuesday evening communion service. Elections will fill treasurer and four executive board seats as four new congregations join.
