Washington AP Richard Sprague urged appointing a special prosecutor with independent funding to lead federal inquiries into John F Kennedy and Martin Luther King killings. He criticized the House committee as political and said the panel delayed its probe after his resignation as staff director. He cited FBI memos challenging Oswald voice identifications and suggested possible post assassination conspiracies among agencies.
Fort Worth AP report on Calvin Graham who lied about his age to join the Navy, serving at Guadalcanal and the Philippines, now seeking an official discharge to obtain VA medical benefits for mouth injuries.
