Easter Weekend Accidents Mar Virginia Highways
A surge of holiday traffic caused several fatal crashes across Virginia over Easter weekend. Four deaths Saturday joined Friday’s toll to push the yearly total to 226, near last year’s count. Notable fatalities included Gene Neville of Covington, 53, in Alleghany County, William Scheibler of Connecticut in Caroline County, and Floyd Ross of Norfolk. A four year old, William Lester Stephens, was injured fatally in York County, and a 50 year old man died in King George County. Royce Huff of Pilot died in a Montgomery County crash.
